In the late 1980s, when Amsterdam was still a punk city, Zender became obsessed with graffiti at the age of thirteen. A tagged up shed in the schoolyard made his hands itch to do it himself. Four years later small assignments started to come in and after his first real big job in Diemen for the Singel Studio, he decided to turn his hobby into his work. With the money he collected for the job in Diemen, he left for New York, the birthplace of graffiti. Upon his return, he was asked to work as a designer at a design agency and was introduced to the computer and learned the graphic arts in practice.
He shares a studio in East Amsterdam with seven colleagues and is currently forming a freelance duo with his colleague Christiaan Dros.Together they create illustrations and paintings on commission.
