In Memoriam Henk Kramer

J.H. KramerFeb 26, '25

It is with great sorrow that we have to inform you that our beloved founder and owner of Henxs, Henk Kramer, passed away suddenly on Friday 21 February 2025.

Henk’s presence in the Netherlands has been of a great influence on graffiti culture development in the region. He started selling spraypaint in the eighties, selling Sparvar at Baneker at the famous Waterloo square market. Later on he started his own business, being the first to introduce Belton to the Dutch market and then shortly after was the first to sell and distribute Montana Colors outside Spain.

At the eind of the nineties he was the first in Europe to start selling art supplies online and in 1998, he opened Henxs Shop that later in 2006 became the actual MTN Shop Amsterdam.

Henk was loved and respected not only on the local scene but also internationally. From the very beginning he supported emerging artists, a wild variety of art projects and graffiti publications like bomber Megazine.

It's safe to say European graffiti culture would't be the same without him and he will be greatly missed by all of us.
